Study Abroad in Barcelona: Housing and Meals
Housing
You will live in a residence situated in the downtown neighbourhood of L’Eixample; one of the most green and recreational areas of Barcelona. The residence is near several bus lines and metro stops, which provide easy access to the University (and the beach!) in less than 30 minutes. There are banks, supermarkets and shopping centers in the neighbourhood.
You will live in an air-conditioned, double room equipped with a bathroom. You will share the bedroom and a kitchen area complete with refrigerator, microwave and kitchen utensils with one other student. Sheets and towels are provided and are changed once a week. You will have access to a small gym and pool. There is a laundry room on site.
AIFS always arranges the best accommodation available for students. Changes in housing will be considered only in the event of health and safety issues.
Meals
You will receive a meal allowance to subsidize the cost of breakfast and one other meal (lunch or dinner) Monday through Friday at the University cafeteria. You may also use the allowance to purchase food to prepare your own meals as each room shares a kitchenette. This is a subsidy and will not cover the cost of meals in expensive restaurants.
