Campus

The Sant Pau campus has free wireless connection for those students who prefer to bring their own laptop. Students also have free access to the computers in the University library. The library is open from 9 am to 9 pm.

4-Week Program

Spanish is not required. Three options are available for students on the 4-week program: (i) Spanish language for 60 hours (4 credits); (ii) Spanish language for 60 hours (4 credits) with a content class taught in English for 45 hours (3 credits) or (iii) Two content classes taught in English totaling 90 hours (6 credits). Please note that for option (ii) students pay a $550 supplement for the content class and for option (iii), students pay a $550 supplement for the second content class. This supplement is payable in the U.S. in advance and is not refunded if the course is dropped.

6-Week Program

Spanish language classes are mandatory and are taught for 90 hours (6 credits). During the first 4 weeks students may also choose a content course (3 credits). There are no content classes during the final 2 weeks. Please note students pay a $550 supplement for the content class selected during the first 4 weeks as indicated in the 4-week program above.

A minimum of 10 students is required to confirm a course. Recommended credits are shown in parentheses.

Attendance Students exceeding the permitted numbers of unexcused absences may lose all or partial credit.

Grades No AIFS participant is permitted to take a course without receiving a letter grade. Pass/Fail grade options are not available.

Transcripts are issued by Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
