Namastay! – that's hello in Hindi; but I also speak English, Telugu and Urdu. I'm excited to introduce you to the incredible diversity you’ll find here in Hyderabad.

I was born in Illinois, but moved to India at a young age. As my father was a professor at the University of Hyderabad, I lived on the campus for 10 years, so I am extremely familiar with the place that will be your new home! I also lived in the U.S. for 12 years so have experience in both education systems; receiving a MA in Communications from the University of Hyderabad and an MA in Media Studies and Education from Penn State University. I fully understand the adjustment you will experience as you acclimate to this new culture – you can think of me as your Chief Go-to Person, Coordinator, Mediator, Guide and Friend while you are staying here in India.

In my free time you can find me reading, writing stories and making jewelry.

I'm looking forward to meeting you when you arrive in India.

The Resident Director provides academic advice, introduces you to the community and handles communication with the University.

Special features of the AIFS program:

Hyderabad is strategically located in the heart of India and is a melting pot of religions, cultures and languages. It is one of the major IT centers of the country. AIFS provides a Golden Triangle Tour visiting Delhi, the Taj Mahal and Jaipur, as well as shorter trips during the semester. Accommodation is in the new (2009) international dorm on campus, where AIFS students live with Indian students and other nationalities. The University offers a wide range of courses.
