Study Abroad in Paris: Beyond the Classroom

Learning does not begin or end in the classroom. To help you get a true taste of French culture, a wealth of subsidized cultural activities and excursions are included in your program fee.

Throughout the semester, you will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of social events and cultural excursions, all arranged by AIFS. Past events have included:

  • Day trips outside of Paris such as
    • the Champagne cellars in Epernay
    • Monet’s gardens in Giverny
    • the beautiful Château of Vaux Le Vicomte
  • Walking tour of the Marais district
  • Visits to:
    • the home of Victor Hugo
    • Notre Dame
    • the catacombs
  • Tickets for shows including:
    • ballets
    • classical concerts
    • theater performances
  • Celebratory meals in typical French restaurants
