Study Abroad in Paris: Beyond the Classroom
Learning does not begin or end in the classroom. To help you get a true taste of French culture, a wide range of cultural activities and excursions are included in your program fee.
Events in the past have included:
- Half-day sightseeing in Paris
- Welcome and farewell dinners in typical French restaurants
- Walking tours of the Marais district, Montmartre, the Sainte Chapelle, Père Lachaise cemetery, Paris Opera area, the Catacombs and the Latin Quarter
- Visits to:
- Rodin Museum
- Cluny Museum
- Orangerie Museum
- Holocaust Memorial
- Picasso Museum
- The Conciergerie (where Marie Antoinette was held during the Revolution)
- Notre Dame Towers
- Museum of Decorative Arts
- Edith Piaf Museum
- Perfume Museum
- Bateaux Mouches boat trip along the Seine River
- Day trips outside of Paris such as:
- Giverny
- Chartres
- Château of Vaux-le-Vicomte
- Versailles
- Literary and artistic walking tour around central Paris to discover some of the monuments and secret places of the Left Bank
Please note that students may be asked to pay a small additional fee for some of the activities above.
