AIFS Study Center

The AIFS Study Center is located in Bloomsbury, just a few minutes away from the Institute of Education and the British Museum. The famous Oxford Street shopping district and West End theaters are just a short walk from the Study Center. Across the street is the University of London Student Union where you can meet British and other international students, use the subsidized cafeterias and buy supplies in the Union’s shops.

There is a small computer lab in the Study Center where you will have free access to e-mail and the internet. The Center also has wireless for students who bring their own laptops. A team of AIFS staff will be available to help you adjust to life in London, plan activities and provide any assistance you may need.

Overview

This 4-week program gives you a unique opportunity to study both at the University of London’s world-renowned Institute of Education and on-site in London schools through a structured assistantship arrangement.

Placement in a London school

Lectures and seminars at the Institute will be supplemented by a 2-week placement in a London school involving work in classrooms and support from experienced school teachers, giving you a first-hand view of the education system in England and a clear understanding of current issues.

Grades

No AIFS participant is permitted to take a course without receiving a letter grade. Pass/Fail grade options are not available.
